Vacancy: Fundraising Officer
We’d love to add to our small but dedicated team with the appointment of a new Fundraising Officer to work alongside our current part time Fundraising Officer. Here are the details:
Based in Harrogate and/or Wakefield, with the possibility of some home-working.
Part-time, (0.5 FTE/20 hours per week).
Salary £28,500 pro rata, based on a 40 hour week.
Open Country is an inspirational Yorkshire-based charity operating from premises in Harrogate and Wakefield. We seek to enable people with any form of disability to access and enjoy the countryside. We achieve this through a diverse programme of countryside activities and the provision of information and advice.
The Covid-19 pandemic had a huge impact on our disabled members and we now seek to increase our activities and services to support those people as they adjust to changes in their lives. To achieve this we are looking to appoint an additional part-time Fundraising Officer (0.5 FTE) to work a job-share arrangement with our existing Fundraising Officer. We have an ambitious fundraising strategy, which we believe will deliver the required income to achieve our plans. You would be working at the heart of this dynamic charity, within a small, professional and above all, friendly team.
We can offer significant flexibility in this role in terms of the types of fundraising activities you will undertake, meaning that we can adapt to your skill set. We can also offer some flexibility around working arrangements such as hours, location etc. There will be certain events or activities which will require you to work weekends or evenings, but these are only occasional. A full driving licence and access to a car is desirable.
The successful candidate will ideally have previous fundraising experience, but we will also consider candidates who can demonstrate that they have transferable skills from other sectors. They should be self-reliant, resilient and have excellent verbal, written, social media and people skills.
