At Open Country we value and embrace Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) and the wellbeing of everyone involved with the charity. We believe in creating a diverse and inclusive culture which supports people to reach their full potential. We have a long history of supporting and campaigning for a disability-inclusive society and have always welcomed people from all walks of life.

In 2022 we commissioned an external body to undertake an ‘Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Gap Analysis’. During this process they consulted with our disabled members, volunteers, staff and trustees through a number of interactive workshops.

As a team we welcomed the findings of the report, as they encouraged us to continue to examine our procedures, services and work practises to identify areas where improvements can be made.
