2025 is a really exciting year for us!
As well as celebrating 35 years of helping people with disabilities to access and enjoy the countryside, we’re expanding!
Our team took a trip north together to see our new hub – in Teesside.
We’ve found a space with our friends at Tees Valley Wildlife Trust, and we can’t wait to start our services later this year.

Activities will include a tandem club, nature and conservation group, weekend walks and outings, and access work.

Our services are available to adult with physical and learning disabilities, and mental health issues.

We’re also looking for volunteers who love the great outdoors to help deliver our Teesside services – guiding people with visual impairments, supporting wheelchair users and piloting tandems. Volunteers receive  training and support.

We’ll be sharing more information in the coming weeks and months, however if you want to find out more about joining as a member or a volunteer, E: teesside@opencountry.org.uk
